Application:Tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite (TMSPi) is a film-forming additive for high voltage cathode material in lithium-ion batteries. Tris (trimethylsilyl) phosphate is cleaved by alkali-metal fluorides, nitrates, and acetates at give the trimethylsilyl esters of the corresponding acids.
